Dead Words
Dead words have once been part of the English language, but are now either modified or entirely omitted. Through this project of lettering there is a chance of rediscovering and interpreting their stories.
Karen To, creator of this fun project invited me to submit artwork based on these words. Below are my interpretations of two dead words, sinapistic and pomarious.

(sin-uh-piz-tik) adj.1879-1879
Consisting of mustard.
Ex. The chef's sinapistic sauces delighted connoisseurs of French cuisine.

(poh-mer-ee-uhs) adj.1656-1775
Of or belonging to an orchard or fruit-garden.
Ex. Newton’s pomarious enlightenment concerning gravity is no more than a myth.
